Update 17th August 2024

IMPORTANT UPDATE: As many of you are aware, a small community steering group has been set up to help manage a process on the Gypsy and Traveller Plan. The consultation period for the proposal for the Gypsy and Traveller camp starts on Tuesday 20th August. It is absolutely vital that we present our objections clearly and effectively to have the greatest impact. The best way to do this is by objecting based on planning regulations. We believe we have a strong case, and the Parish Council (PC) is in discussions with various planning experts who specialise in this subject to ensure our objections carry the most weight. As soon as we have clear guidance, it will be shared with the community. This will be done well in advance of the 4th of October and will include advice on what to say and what not to say so that you can formulate your own objections. Once again, it’s crucial not to rush this process. Please share and communicate this message with your friends and neighbours in the community, as not everyone is in the WhatsApp group.
